Old Uniform, New Life.
Freelance project with social enterprise Barehand and partnered with SingPost. An upcycling initiative of SIngPost to approach sustainability by minimizing waste. Old postmen uniforms were used and transformed to a lifestyle products such as bags, mat and cushion.






Idea of this design is coming from a mail and the strap in the middle with reflective fabric represent the road of postmen delivering the mail to houses.
The process from understanding uniform materials > measurement > sketching > prototyping

This cushion cover is Mail Box inspired design, using the pockets of the postmen long-sleeve shirts and the plackets as the strap to be nicely folded to keep.

For picnic mat, it is too initiative by utilizing left over fabrics, created repeating horizontal and vertical uniform patchworks.
The back of the picnic mat itself is using the raincoat that is water repellent
